Why Frank Huttle Is Running For Mayor

Dear Neighbor and fellow Democrat,
Englewood is a city rich in resources. We have a dynamic and diverse people, an unrivaled location and a hard working business community.
With all those strengths, Englewood should be thriving, even in the toughest economic conditions. But, that can't happen on its own. Our city needs leadership to bring us together to meet these challenges. We need to develop the best youth programs for our children. We need to take the reins of the most vibrant downtown in Bergen County and make sure that it is supported as not only an economic engine, but as a place where our residents come together into the community that I care about so deeply. So, it’s time for those who have demonstrable leadership and professional skills to step up now, roll up their sleeves and do what they do best in service of the entire community.
That is why I have made the decision to run for mayor of our great city. I want to lead by example.
My background is in business, accounting and law, having dual degrees as both a Certified Public Accountant and an attorney. You have already seen me use these skills in gathering and leading the team that revived BergenPAC, now one of the leading cultural institutions in our state. Using these same skills as your mayor, I can help make sure that our city is moving in the right direction. Englewood needs a mayor who has the business knowledge to work with our Council, helping keep taxes down, control spending and improve services. Englewood needs a mayor who has demonstrated the ability to marshall the talents, training and intelligence of people to work together as a unified team and get real results.
I have always been devoted to Englewood. But, expressing devotion is not enough. I am running for mayor because the position demands the right combination of skill and energy for Englewood at this critical moment. In that spirit, I will not demand more of others than I demand of myself. As your mayor, I will serve at your pleasure, not accepting any salary from city taxpayers for my labors.
Like you, I am deeply committed to the good stewardship of Englewood, looking out for our environment, our citizens – young and old – and doing it in a way that honors voters and taxpayers. This is something a mayor can help a community achieve together. And that is why I hope I can earn your support in the Democratic Primary, June 2.
It’s time for real leadership for Englewood.
